We are not going to win the league

So all you olesexuals who are getting ahead of yourselves. Please remember what happened last time we were top of our group table in the champions league.

This league table flatters to deceive. Anyone could be in the title race within a few weeks.

I know some idiots will say that I'm hoping for this to happen but you could not be further from the truth. I want us to start acting like the biggest club in the world. We used to be arrogant with it, now it seems some people think we should be humble and happy with mediocrity because subconsciously they think we are punching above our weight and they are scared.

We should have got Poch but now he's gone to PSG and as a result I am not calling for Ole's head just yet but please understand that we all ought to have high expectations of our club and ANY coaching staff. I will still demand that we improve our performances.

You weren't suffering from a "lack of fitness" ffs.

Man United's last competitive fixture last season was on 16th August. The season began again on the 19th September. You started your pre-season a week before. So you ONLY had 3 weeks of an off-season whereas other teams, such as Brighton for example, their season finished on the 26th July, so they had a longer off-season than what you did, therefore recovered more due to a longer rest period, therefore less match fit in competitive match experiences than what Man United were. You did not have the off-season to correctly recover from your competitive fixtures of last season.

So you were actually more "match fit" on a competitive basis, but you suffered from not having adequate rest time during the off-season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you're saying we weren't fit?

FFS we were more match fit than the rest of the league despite having less time to build our fitness levels back off after the off season because we played a match more recently than the rest of the teams but we were less prepared for matches fitness wise but that doesn't mean we were less match fit.

Simple FFS!

........

It was really embarrassing. I would like to think that the average fan would understand how fitness levels in pre season works.

Maybe he should change his name to JustYourWellBellowAverageFan.

The newer posters on here aren't what they used to be. That's for sure.

Even the window lickers and Wums are absolute shed.
