I think looking at the line up fred and mctominay were the likely 2 for the middle of the park against liverpool, but after pogbas performance how do you leave him out?
For me he wouldnt work in a 2 with fred due to Fred's poor ability on the ball.
Matic is much better in possession meaning the ball isn't given away as much.
Do you play pogba in the diamond from the left?
But that means rashford likely on the right again
How do we line up against liverpool

I’m guessing there will be at least 2 buses parked. Maybe 3.

I hate wins with pens and VAR but I hope we win with a VAR pen and you get a super tight offside goal ruled out by VAR, just to wind you and Klopp up.

A dodgy last minute pen to win 1-0 would be fantastic. Preferably after Bruno’s avoided a red card from VAR.

I think we should go there with a positive intent. We won't get a better chance to really test them seeing as they have their CBs unavailable. I wouldn't be against putting McT on the right of midfield for his energy with Bruno having a bit of a freer role on the left. Bit of a risk with TAA but think Bruno could exploit the space behind. Two up top to keep them honest there as well.

I am convinced he will go with this:
DDG
AWB. Bailly. Maguire. Shaw
McT. Fred
Bruno
Rashford. Pogba
Martial/Cavani
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely this, and now he’s limped off it it will be Cavani instead of martial
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah probably. As others have said tho I wouldn’t be totally shocked if he played James for his energy and to stop Robertson. And as much as I think James is a horrible player, I wouldn’t be overly annoyed as his pace could actually be good against Liverpool’s high line. The fact he can’t play football is an issue tho haha
----------------------------------------------------------------------
given that cavani and Martial(before injury) were set to play 90mins despite having subs left, I think you are right. James will start with rashford up top and greenwood or maybe Pogba out on the left in 4231.

With him diving to win the penalty.

I think Pogba be will start on the left. He can’t be left out now the way he is playing but there is no way they will play him in the two against a pressing team like Liverpool. I’d be worried about TAA influence then tho.

That would be perfect, TRS.

0-0 last minute of injury time. Pogba goes down in the LFC box but ref plays on. LFC launch their final long ball of the day and Bruno brings down Mane, who was clean through, and it's a red for the Portuguese. Or is it?
No!
VAR has spotted TAA didn't get the ball before hoofing it downfield and the ref goes to the monitor and awards United a penalty in injury time! Bedlam on the bench as the gurning LFC manager's face gets stuck as the wind changes.
Up steps Bruno to win it and... it's saved. Oh no! That keeps LFC just three points behind but...hang on. Keeper was off his line. What drama. It's Bruno again this time, minus the skip, and it's hit the bar and come down onto the line it seems. The LFC players rejoice at their great escape but just before they can acknowledge a home draw the refs buzzer goes and the goal line tech says it's in. Goal for United!

Klopp gets a red card for screaming at the 4th official in the ensuing chaos. Cherry on the cake.

How about 3 at the back with Pogba & Bruno as roaming number 10s?
De Gea
Bailly Maguire Shaw
AWB McT Fred Telles
Bruno Pogba
Rashford
