Martial is deffo lacking confidence.... he should’ve put that who away.
He must of hated being put through at the end there, cos he can’t hide from that mess.
He has to pick it up...
as a result, I fear he may go to the bench, and Fred will come back in, so maybe Pogba May replace him on the left.

Hope the guy finds his confidence before the end of the season or he's definitely getting ditched by France again...

None of the front four was atrocious last night. People don’t half exaggerate.

With Mee and Tarkowski available and on form, Burnley are a very tough team to score against. They’re incredibly well organised, stay switched on for 90 mins, are on a fantastic run defensively, and only four sides have put two or more past them all season in all comps.

None of our forwards was great last night, but their link up play was good in spells; Bruno, Cavani and Martial all played some neat stuff between them and with the fullbacks, and showed good feet. Martial and Cavani fluffed their lines in front of goal, but otherwise their movement was decent and they found space and otherwise held their own against a very physical backline.

Rashford was on a different wavelength half of the night, but conjured a great assist, and otherwise fed the other forwards OK from the right. It’s a different game for him there, and much more difficult for him to create chances for himself, so I don’t expect the goals to flow when he’s out there.

Martial is not a great centre forward but he does stretch teams and so not having the option is a loss imo.

That doesn't mean I'd necessarily start him, but not having him is nothing to celebrate.

Cavani really is a fit dude. Guy doesn't stop running, quite impressive.

It's the hair that does it for me.

It’s reaching the point for me, that if Martial doesn’t get into some sort of scoring form soon, that we may have to move on from him.
Relegate him back onto the wings / bench or sell, and get a natural scorer. cos say he scores less than 15 prem goals this season, he can’t still think he’s the main man.
I love Martial, but you can’t have a season like this after scoring 20, with number 9 on yer back.
