Calm down we ain't winning the PL this year

Liverpool and City still massive favorites for the league. Yes we are top of the league but both City and Liverpool are still favorites for the title.

It seems a lot of our fans are more interested in proving the Ole doubters ( which I was) wrong rather than accept the reality that we are probably the 3rd best team in the land. All I am seeing since yesterday here and on reddit/ twitter how we will win the league but let's be realistic it is not so easy. Leicester's title winning season comes once in a generation.

Liverpool are still massive favorites for the coming weekend especially with Martial injured and a couple of others not 100% fit. City dispatched us with no effort last week and if they win their games they are 1 pt behind us with a superior squad. In fact I think City have a better chance than Pool at the league unless VVD, Matip, Gomez return before March

So let's enjoy the top spot while it lasts. It's been a long time since that happened but let's not get disappointed if by end of the month we are not.

I have a feeling everyone has finally calmed back down, I've not seen a "we're gonna win the league" post for quite a while now.

Job done. Good work, everybody.

Just watched last 25 minutes of the Man City game and Brighton were completely on top but poor decision making cost them at least a draw if not a win. Even at the end they gave a penalty away due to poor decision making. Man City played out the last 25 minutes in incredible poor fashion giving freekicks corners kicks and barely touching the ball and letting Brighton have as many attacks as possible. Potter must be driven mad how wasteful Brighton are.

One of the flaws of JA 606 is if you say you are a Man United fan on your profile page the Admins allow you to post on the Man United page. Despite the tone of your content.

The op has completely misread the board. I haven't seen anyone read the board. Just another so called fan more bothered about (possibly) being wrong about Ole than the fact we are doing well at the moment. What a strange way to support your team.

The thing with Man City is they are not scoring many goals but they are doing enough to win games with clean sheets. Today if the opponent had better quality in last 25 minutes they could easily have got a draw from the positions they got in. Liverpool also been struggling recently to create chances so it isn't the attacking force of previous seasons that allows them to get a lot of points.

Elvis tbh there is never really a good time to criticise the manager on here and every time we do, people comment on the timing, regardless of whether we've won or lost.

I don't think the Olephobes or Ole-curious want to be negative all the time but when they take your opinions as a personal attack on the manager, it's bloody infuriating and makes you more ridged in your opinion, so I understand how the OP has got to this point as I've been there myself a couple days ago.

I think the Olesexuals are just as stubborn and realistically we're all someone were in the middle but there's never a bad time to say positive things about the manager so Olesexuals won't get called out like this.

I've come to terms with the fact that Ole will be our manager next season, so the best thing for the us all is to have some fun over the next few weeks and see what happens towards the end of the season and in the summer.

The thing that gets me is that those that don't want/rate Ole paint this picture that there is a group of supporters on this board that blindly support Ole. Its just not true. The vast vast majority that aren't Ole out just think that he deserves the time to show us if he is capable of being our manager. He has had a huge squad overhaul to manage and a squad that had players left from 4 different mangers. It was massively unbalanced and needed serious work. It was always going to take time to turn it around. I always said that I would judge him from the beginning of this season up until Christmas, as he would then have had a fair chance to build his own squad. Obviously early season was disrupted due to a lack of preseason.

The squad is now in a much better place, although not perfect. There is a good spirit within the team and we are getting results. His next job for me is to sign a decent CB or stick with Bailly/Axel and shore up the defence. Once that is done I'd like to see us play with two offensive central midfielders rather than two defensive ones. At the moment I think that Ole believes the defence is too fragile for that. Hopefully that results in a more fluid and expansive brand of football.
