I wonder if Spurs would take Ole over Jose?

I would probably take Ole just so we wouldn't have Jose and his dull, negative football but Ole would not be the answer here either. He is doing well at United with a very good squad and an array of attacking talent. I think he would struggle with the limits of our squad.

Tbh the squad Ole started with wasn't any better than what spurs currently have. Ole probably won't be the right coach for you guys though. Unfortunately that man probably would be Poch...

Don't think Real would give us the deal they gave Spurs. Overall, Bale hasn't been much use at Spurs. On paper Bale, Kane and Son sounds like one of the best attacks in the PL, if not the world. You'd have thought they'd make better use of Bale.

Just shows you how quickly a player with those skill set can decline with injuries and age, however great he was at his peak.

Seems to be a big flaw in Jose’s desire for proven quality, even when it looks pretty clear they’re well past it.

I doubt Mourinho was that bothered about signing Bale, he’d play him if he was. I bet he’d have much rather have signed Willian.

Surely Levy wasn’t too thrilled about Bale’s wage? Wasn’t Jose trying to get Bale with us? I can definitely imagine he tried to get Willian.

I think that was more Woodward. And Bale wasn’t shiiiiiit back then. I think Levy saw an opportunistic signing that would bring a feel good factor to the club and could contribute goals. He obviously underestimated how shiiiiiit Bale was. Bale just doesn’t strike me as a Mourinho signing as he’s just not up to the task of playing as a winger for him.

Cavani's a tough SOB that loves getting stuck in. I had feared the opposite when he came here, as many players that do well in softer leagues fall to pieces in England. Cavani can take it and likes to dish it out. Proper player. Bale is soft.
