For me, when Jose was appointed, I was very vocal in my opinions and still am due to the fact that I’m not fussed about pretty football right now. We had nice football for near enough 5 years under Pochettino and produced nothing to show for it. So, I was willing to sacrifice that and have Jose football, as long as it’s effective and is producing results. By that I mean, producing results on the pitch, but results in terms of Trophies, which has become an absolute must for this club.
What I don’t accept and am willing to also the blame the manager in parts, is our constant ability of switching off and conceding stupid late goals, which inevitably means dropping valuable points every single week. 2 or 3 times you can let it pass, but when it’s becoming the norm and it’s now happened 7/8 times this season, you start to wonder, what the f** is going on???
I truly don’t believe we have a good enough defence or the players to play this way at the moment. I don’t think our full backs are anywhere near good enough, apart from Reguilon. Apart from Toby, I don’t think our centre backs are that great and are a disaster waiting to happen. I said this at the start of the season. I include Dier in this, who’s had a better season, but like Aurier I still don’t trust him.
What do we do ? Before anyone says “sack Jose", that’s not happening, so forget this pipe dream. Us being in a cup final has already given him the breathing space. Us winning it or not, will clearly define the decision Levy makes as long as we don’t drop to somewhere like mid table, which I highly doubt will happen. We are clearly in a Top 4 battle and that’s it. The league title was never a realistic option, because we are simply not good enough.
Why do we keep conceding these ridiculous goals to such bang average opposition ? Surely Jose isn’t literally saying, “we need to defend 1-0 leads every game"? I just honestly can’t believe that.

Ted has a thing about Upamecano. Which is fair enough, he's a good player. Makes no difference banging on about it on here though. The club will sign whoever the club signs, and if United or Liverpool or City go for him then Spurs likely can't compete on wages.

I agree with all of this. Dier has improved. But Toby is well into his 30's and cannot be replaced by Sanchez who is just not good enough.
I'm not impressed by Doherty either.
But Levy is "not expecting any business into the club".
So we are not going after top class young talent like RBLeipzig's Upamecano, who is coming up for grabs with Chelsea, Liverpool, MunU "interested"!
The Club was top of the league for a week! And now is slip-sliding away. If Mourinho does not win something this season he will be finished.
I wonder what Levy (and Lewis) are thinking right now?

Indeed I am and when I can be bothered I’ll put a username in.
But back to the point, Ted just gets excited by specific players which really adds no value at all.
Toljan was the RB he has conveniently forgotten.
And whilst, I am fully aware that Dybala and he are different players, Ted hasn’t explained why he is still not considering Toljan has the ‘second coming’ solution to our RB problem despite him going on about how we should have bought him way back when.
To not do so degenerates any argument he has concerning Upsy Daisy
