Wayne Rooney has retired from his playing career today to manage Derby County. As per usual with the anti-United media, literally nowhere is paying tribute to the IMMENSE career he had. Easily one of the best ever Premier League players, he won it all and did it in the biggest games. There should be articles all over BBC Sport and SkySports about the things that lad achieved in our game, but instead there's nothing which is disgraceful.

Bobby Charlton is easily the best English footballer of all time.
Rooney is probably Top Ten imo... but that top ten is hotly contested. Lots of great candidates.
From a Man United point of view, apart from Sir Bobby and Wazza I would expect Robbo, Rio and Edwards to be contenders.

I've been watching, and seen, the best of the best at the best football club on the planet for over 50 seasons now.
Rooney is only comparable with Charlton, Keane, Best and Ronaldo in terms of contribution, level, quality and that vital ingredient 'all-round-unitedness'.
And, out of all of them, he was probably treated the worst by the club.
