Sky Coverage

*NOT A UNITED VS LIVERPOOL THING*

Is anyone else sick to death of the coverage SkySports put towards United vs Liverpool fixtures?? Every single year, without fail, for about a week or so before the match SkySports are practically on their knees about this game!! I see more trailers and advertising about this fixture every year than any other match, probably even the UCL final.

It's so cringe how that Dave Jones sits there like a lapdog smiling and looking so content, whilst he panders to all the pundits and engages in banter with them like he's one of the lads. Then you have Souness who would just send probably even the most biased LFC fan to sleep with his nonsense. Don't even get me started on Evra when he's on, the guy acts like he is the sole owner of MUFC with his embarrassing rants and emotive, teenagelike tantrums.

The funniest thing of all though is the fact that these games are very rarely showcases at all. More often than not they're tight, cagey affairs that end up in draws but Sky make out like they're always an all-time classic. Getting sick of it now, I get that they need to market their product but they act like if you don't watch this fixture you'll be sent a fine in the post.

Remember 'Red Monday' in 2016? Another hype job for a 0-0 at Anfield on a Monday night. Typical Sky ramming it down everyone's throats.

Rant over.

Watch United LFC FA Cup now be a goalfest

I think it'll be a much more open game.

To be fair I can see the game wouldn't have been great for a neutral but for a 0-0 I thought it was a good game.

Think the FA cup game will be a bit more open.

I fancy 3-0 United because Klopp tends to rest players in cup matches.

He does mate. There's no way the likes of Fabinho, Henderson, Matip or Salah will be playing. Guarantee he puts out a weak side.

Of course Sky are going to hype up a huge game. What a stupid article this is.

Matchroom hype up the boxing. Not their fault if it’s a zero knockdowns drab points decision/first round knockout.

What do you expect Sky to say? “There’s a game between Liverpool and United this week. They’re two big teams with a bit of a historic rivalry. Tune in if you want. Could be a good game, or not.”

They need to be brutal & honest...tell people they've over hyped this fixture for years & it usually doesn't deliver....

Or just give it to Amazon

It's the biggest game in English football, and always will be. They're bound to big up their golden TV pick every time it's on.

Big games between rivals in recent memory do tend to be cagey affairs, how many 0-0 draws have their been between the top 6 sides this season? That's not even factoring in that Spurs 2-0 Man City was actually by and large a dull game where Spurs defended all game and Arsenal beat United at OT 1-0.

Big games because there is so much at stake, they are bound to big it up. There's a reason why it's one of the (if not the) most watched game in the PL.
