Early days on the thread but consistent response is Rod for 6)

Rod has been played out of position yet has played well most of the time and scored 3. He's been pretty average since our form dropped. Hard to criticise any players this season really, perhaps Costa could do more in regards to his sub appearances.

In fairness to Rod I would like to see him when protected by a solid CM which most of the time like Brighton before been taken off, he wasn't - more space through it than the Dakota badlands.

And Costa is strictly speaking on a par - there is too much difference between his worst and best and just lately very little of the latter if any.

Got to agree with Kebab - Ayling has been immense and Meslier a great deal for 5mill. Let's hope he's back between the sticks very soon. And yes, the Villa game has been our best performance so far without doubt.

Player - Ayling on account of the fact he has looked like both an England quality rightback and fantastic at centreback when he was called on there too

Performance - Newcastle, little surprised it hasent been mentioned yet as it was so perfect.

Best result - Fulham, okay, here me out here... yes other results were better, however this was our first premiership win since our downfall, it gave me such satisfaction to finally have a Premiership win under our belt.

Best signing meslier - £5 million, Nuff Said.

Goal - Alioski against Newcastle - i love this goal not because of the finish, but because of the four players who are running hell for leather to catch up with Raph.

Most in need of stepping up... tough one, as all things considered we are doing as well as any promoted team could hope to. I think the criticism of Rod is a little harsh as he is been played out of position so I think its a little harsh to signal him out, going to skip this one as I think its a bit harsh...
