Sorry Frank, you haven't got it.

The job is too soon and too big for his managerial talent.
Want him to succeed like no other manager we've had but it's obvious now to even the most rose tinted supporter that he hasn't got it in him.

With this group of talented players you can tell the quality of coaching they are getting.
Not good enough..

Most if not all want him to succeed. It's come too soon for him after what was a great season, beyond our wildest expectations last year. This season he's been found wanting. He made some errors last season and we accepted them and hoped he would learn from them. This year he has shown he hasn't. Roman may make him the exception but going on the past I'd say his time is up. RDM had a better record and was sacked in November. The team played some good football and started the season well but defeat at WBA leaving us 4 points adrift from top spot was the final straw for Roman. I think Roman has been extremely patient by his standard with Frank.

And on the plus side, if he does go it's not as though your squads a mess. You've got a great set of tools for another manager to come in and work with and Roman is ruthless enough to find the person who can get it going. I don't picture you being out of the hunt for the title for all that long. I think within the next few seasons you'll have at least one really strong one.

I don't think Roman has been patient. Just the circumstances are different. The team needed a rebuild and a change. Sarri tried that but didn't get along with the fans. Then the transfer ban came in. Frank managed to finish 4th (when they should have finished 3rd).new signings, Covid-19, tipsy turvy season so far, it might be prudent to stick with Frank till the end of the season. Gives the new players time to bed in and a new manafer a preseason with the players. Frank could turn it around especially with the way the season is going.

Seems to me your superstar signings of Werner and Havertz have been super flops. They are good players but it takes time to form a side when you change it radically with as many signings as you had in the summer imo. Lot of square pegs at the minute and no obvious first 11 due to the volume of changes and options.

A pundit said the other day (can’t remember who) they can’t wait for Chelsea to move Havertz on to Bayern and watch him become world class. Couldn’t agree more - he’s a player, just need to find a system and stick to it!

Reckon Lampard is for the chop either way unfortunatley.

Solskjaer was in the same position but the board kept faith. Give him some time and support.
People are saying he's lost the dressing room.
It's down the tunnel and first on the right Frank!

Ole was in this position literally two months ago...

Hard to put your finger on the problem really...

Lamps is still early in the job (relatively speaking)
Players are still adapting to the Prem
It's a difficult enough year anyway with no crowd.

I see no signs that Lampard will improve. He's made the job of new player integration harder by playing square pegs in round holes. Havertz former boss has made a thinly veiled criticism of the player not being played in his best position or to his strength.
Starting line ups both personnel and formation are often questioned prematch. Last season Sheff U away was crying out for a 3-4-3 to combat their 2 big guys up front, to protect Kepa who won't leave his line for crosses and to accomodate Alonso who is better as a wing back than a full back, if Frank insists on playing him then play him where he is less of a defensive liability.Low and below Lampard waits til we're two down and goes 3 at the back second half!
This season his in game management is found wanting. Last night 67 minute til he made a change with the team showing little goal threat. Wolves away Neto taking control of the game when we are one up. I may have been wise to double up on him but again despite the warnings no action taken.
I think he needs to get out for his own sake as well as the clubs. He can start again at a lower level and do his apprenticeship as a coach. The fast track hasn't worked.

Happily he's seen the light re Alonso...but I agree about in game management...had the same criticism of Sarri to be fair
I'd prefer he changed things at half time or at least on the hour at the latest...including formation
