Yeah, two interviews in a row that have been Jonestown and engaging.

Just needs to be careful he doesn’t let that distract him though. Plenty of years of football to focus on before he thinks about being a celebrity.

Nice to see him responding without the annoying media trained rubbish though. Very refreshing.

You know - I genuinely, even as a Leicester fan, looked and Maddison, and also Grealish and thought hmmm cocky and arrogant. But they are both just young lads, who are maturing and just have a love of football and love talking about it.

Grealish gets too much stick, I mean, what young lad doesn’t enjoy getting bladdered and crashing his Range Rover, he’s just a cheeky young scamp at heart

It was nice to see an interview like that. As in, it was actually interesting. I get why footballer’s are media trained but it’s a shame when you think about we rarely get little moments like that in interviews.

That was my exact, first thought - that I wasn’t just going through the motions of the interviews but I actually listened and was intrigued and interested.

And you are right, that was really what interviews were for. I get footballers being media trained to safeguard themselves and build their confidence and articulation in these situations, but that should really be to help produce interviews like this, not sterilise them

Bring back Keegan!

It was notable to me that the interviewer seemed to be enjoying the interview as well. It was a situation that seemed more like a chat and went on for quite a while as a result.

But yes, very encouraging for the future of the player himself that he’s able to take on board constructive criticism and work on it to get better. Plus being a student of the game is something that I feel too many young players in this country don’t embrace.

Footballers in general just interview so badly, especially Brits. Watching the US sports and even at college level they interview so much better and more naturally. Not really sure why.

Loved his interview. A young lad, playing in the premier league with his team top of the table. he should be happy and is.
