Chelsea...

Well only 2 points separates us and them despite their £200mill influx. The worst start in Arsenal’s history pretty much leads to this half way through the season. No doubt Frank will be shown the door and most likely the new guy coming in will pull away.
As bad as Arteta has been this season, Frank really is no better. Of course both are young and quite inexperienced, but it’s really looking like Frank will never be quite the same quality as he was a player. His rival Stevie G on the other hand is destroying it in the Scottish leagues.
He’s already had two really good opportunities now. Didn’t do what was required of him at Derby either. Let’s see if Rooney fairs any better. So what’s next for Frank? Is he going to be just another Steve Bruce? Modern day Pulis/Allardyce?

He’ll probably do a Neville and sack it off for a cushty life in the TV studio. He’s already spectacularly wealthy, he doesn’t need the hassle plus he’s far too egotistical to be a jobbing manager who gets the sack everywhere. Bruce has a head like rotten cabbage and a face that looks like King Kong has battered him with a shovel, it’s impossible for a man that ugly to have an ego. But Lumplard loves himself, he’ll fancy a bit of posing and poncing about alongside cousin Jamie et al.

Disagree, I reckon Bruce could take King Kong

Yeah but King Kong armed with a shovel?

I have huge faith in Mikel and I believe he will have people eating their words

Maybe but how many man management car crashes, crapped on player careers and club/team harming ego trips will we have to suffer before we get to that meal? He's only been here a year and there's already been far too many. Frank's problem is probably just too many players at once, they'll settle soon enough. It's just whether Roman sacks him first, I hope not. Arteta is a different story entirely. The man is ruled by his ego and delusions of grandeur from what must be some demented fantasy he had about having already won as many titles at Pep.

If he can't learn to put his ego and arrogance away until it's appropriate then the squad is always going to be dragged down, every season by whatever of the pitch drama is playing out between him and whichever player. Massive arrogance, pig-headed stubbornness and poor judgement of player character are each big problems in their own right. He has all three of them in abundance right now. And he won't be serving anyone their words if he doesn't sort those aspects of himself out first and preferably to us, fast.

I don't think we should be using Chelsea to justify Arteta position. The position in the table is unacceptable for us. At least Chelsea will act on it

Yes, poor little Frank and all his new super expensive world class players messing up the team (that he actually already made worse in the first season he took over). And of course Arteta is just an evil tyrannical power crazed maniac trying to tear the club apart to suit his own despicable plans of taking over the world.

Or at least that's how it goes in your strange little brain.

The squad isn't to blame for...

Arteta trying to force a tactic that couldn't work for 14 games.

Arteta's ego forcing one of the club's best players to sit on the bench all season.

Arteta behaving as though nobody can tell him anything because he has nothing to learn.

So no, that's not "Arsenal's squad" that's Arteta.

Those are all his bad decisions that have and still are costing this club. So instead of being argumentative why not just cop to what we've all been saying all season anyway. The man is, unjustifiably at this point is his career, arrogant. And it's to a flaw. If you'd bothered to read it properly you'd have seen me say there's the makings of a great manager in there. And simply saying he needs to get some humility to get out of his own way.

That'd be your vivid imagination. I don't even know why you're arguing the point when we already established quite a while ago that Arteta is overly arrogant. It's not really up for debate.

It doesn't have to be the demented extreme you're on about. Small things like showing ya mates favouritism or freezing out players for personal reasons and that sort of BS. Does more than enough damage to a locker room, to derail a squad. And it'll do it regardless of the squads talent level. Hypocrisy arrogance and bad man management skills aren't plusses. They're actually a great combo to end his management career before he really gets it started.

Then proceeds to tell us all how we feel: ‘I don't even know why you're arguing the point when we already established quite a while ago that Arteta is overly arrogant.’

I’m sorry, but I think I must’ve missed the discussion where that happened. Maybe one of you can provide one of those handy little link things, just so I can refresh my mind as to when this was established.

And whereas, Frank ‘total humility’ Lampard and the ‘poorly assembled’ squad of players he was handed, that couldn’t possibly do anything like... I dunno, say thrash Arsenal in a European final little over 18 months ago, should be excused for not doing way better than Arsenal so far, because of the over-investment their owner made last summer, Arteta, with the ‘thoughtfully constructed’ group of players he had the great fortune to inherited from Wenger and Emery, should be feeling the pressure, because after all, what does £250m in a single transfer window really get you these days anyway?

Honestly WB2, the way you constantly shift the goalposts to suit your agenda, I’m embarrassed for you.

And as for Arteta ‘leaving our best player to rot on the bench’. You mean Maitland-Niles, our World Class (your words, not mine) central midfielder - despite any real backing from four different managers now that he can play there at all?

Nah. ‘That'd be your vivid imagination’, pal.
