Man City vs Spurs

———————————— Lloris
Meunier —— Koulibaly — Lenglet — L.Digne
——————— Tielemans — Ndombele
———————————— Pogba
Dembele ————————————— Son Heung-M
———————————— Lukaku

Vs

-------------------- Mendy --------------------
Cancelo --- De Ligt --- N.Ake --- Reguilon
----------- Casemiro --- De Bruyne ---------
J.Sancho ------- E.Hazard ------ M.Asensio
----------------- A.Griezmann ---------------

City’s biggest strength for me is quite literally their strength a really strong spine to the side and a fair whack of chemistry there, never a fan of one up top myself but with Lukaku they have a striker that can do the role well enough and a fair amount of support from the wings a really good side.
This Spurs side is one of my favourite sides so much pace and flair in that front four and with KDB pulling the strings from deep would be great to see. My only real concerns are that the defence doesn’t seem the strongest and would struggle against Lukaku in full flow, and they don’t have a genuine focal point of their own up-front, fantastic side regardless.
Full-time
Man City 1-2 Spurs
Lukaku (son)
Hazard (Sancho) Griezmann (KDB)

Newcastle vs Southampton

——————— Stegen
Trent — Fabinho — Hummels — Robbo
—— Hendo — Kroos — Verratti
———— Llorente — Alberto
——————— Vardy

Vs

--------------------------------------Onana-----------------------
----------Upamecano----------Dias---------Fofana---------------------
---------------------------------------Ndidi------------------------------------
-----------------------Valverde-----------Odegaard------------------------
Adama---------------------------------------------------------------Pulisic
--------------------------Jovic------------Rashford----------------------------

I love the clash of styles this game brings, Ludy has a great side but it’s crying out for some width to get at Saints defence, They will certainly dominate the middle ground possession wise but I think Nadz will take that, his side will really hurt Newcastle out-wide, Liverpools Fb’s have question marks over their defensive capabilities and they’ll be tested today by Adama and Pulisic in one on ones. The front two is decent to Nadz. Ludy has the better side but I think Nadz tactics are spot on.
Full-time Newcastle 1-1 Soton
Vardy (Kroos)
Rashford (Adama)

Foxes vs Gunners

————————————— Allison ———————————
Carvajal — Marquinhos —— Alaba — T.Hernandez
—————————————- Rodri ————————————
————————- M.Mount —— B.Fernandes —————
—————————————————————————————
Zaha ————————- L.Martinez ————— Sterling

Vs

------------------ B. Leno
Pereira --- Kounde -- Gabriel --- Tierney
----------------- N. Kante
----------- Gundogan --- Koke
B. Saka ---------------------------- H. Barnes
----------------- S. Gnabry

Interesting battle this at the top of the table, Leicester looking imperious and Arsenal the form team, 2 very similar set-ups but implemented differently. Rof’s high line is risky with Gnarby as Arsenal’s point man but I think Marquinhos has the pace and power to cover plus Alaba’s ability to read the game. Arsenal have a quality midfield and will be a match for Leicester’s possession based game but home advantage and that front-three carry the game.
Full time Leicester 2-1 Arsenal
Martinez x2 (Zaha/Bruno)
Gnarby (Barnes)

Chelsea vs Leeds

-------------------------- Oblak --------------------------
W-Bissaka ---- S.deVrij ---- van Dijk ---- Jordi Alba
--------------- F.de Jong ---- Locatelli -----------------
Mbappe --------------- Musiala ---------------- Neymar
------------------------- Haaland -------------------------

Vs

----------------------Neuer

---------Akanji----White----Hernandez

Castagne----------SMS-------------Guerreiro

-------Chiesa-----Foden-----Depay

---------------------Kane

Fan has a really good side and I like his tactics, the one issue he has is saying he wants to dictate possession and congest the midfield, add in Lubo’s side/formation and that midfield is too congested as both sides cancel each other out.
Lubo is really improving, not just his side but his tactics too, but Im not sure that back line holds against chelsea’s attack. Hernandez I like but I see him more LB than CB, the front 4 and SMS are quality and you make a good game of it.
Home advantage plus the better side put this in Chelsea’s court

Full-time Chelsea 3-1 Leeds
Haaland (Mbappe)
Neymar (solo)
Mbappe (Musiala)

Kane (Foden)

Bournemouth vs Sheff Utd
------------------Simón
Khellven--Ibañez—Araújo---- Piton
---------------Assunção
-----Guimarães---Gonçalves
Veron----------------------------Antony
-----------------Núñez
Vs

-------------------Dubravka
Vrsaljko, Stones, T. Silva, Grimaldo
-------------Ampadu, Höjbjerg
-----Bale, James, Saint-Maximin
----------------------Suárez

2 master tacticians trading blows in this one. Elsie’s side would have maximum chemistry on FIFA there’s such a lovely balance to it, young and bags of potential as they mature they’ll be top quality (of course by then LC will have shipped em on replaced by a new batch) his tactics as always are spot on,
Welshy is building up a nice side, some real match winners in there a resurgent John Stones alongside the wily Silva is a nice pairing and if Bale recaptures his form that front four is very potent.

B’mouth 1-2 Sheff Utd
Nunez (veron)
Suarez (James)
Bale (Maximin)

MOTM - Grealish
A hard fought tactical battle see's Portsmouth pick up a hard earned point away from home. Both teams going with the 3atb approach and while I respect fan's tactical ability, going 3atb against the grandfather of the 3atb formation is a huge task.

WOLVES POSITIVES
- Like the role given to Grealish.
- Good instructions on how to deal with Lozano/Podence

WOLVES CON'S
- "whichever side they attack from tho I want Grealish and one of Silva/Werner to push to that side again to close them down and support the wingbacks"
Think this would leave you very light in attack imo.

PORTSMOUTH POSITIVES
- Like the attacking instructions given to the attacking duo of Aguero and Dybala.

PORTSMOUTH CON'S
- Not too sure of having Kessie next to Jorginho in the formation Portsmouth are playing. With playing no wing/fullbacks, think Portsmouth would need a more defensive midfielder in the middle to cover the lack of defensive cover on the wings. Don't think Lozano/Podence are defensively good enough to make up playing without one.
