Tranmere Rovers v Bolton Wanderers

Another chapter in the tradition rivalry between Bolton and tranmere today. Overnight snow in the north west but it has been cleared of the penton park pitch and we have a match on. A quick turn around, just over a month since keith hills side beat bolton 3-0 at the unibol. Also it was only last season can you believe it that phil parkinsons young side were beaten 5-0 at tranmere which became too much for some at the time. Team news. 1 survivor harry brockbank from that game could play today. New signings declan john and kieran Lee out injured short term. Miller is on his way back too. Long term injuries politic and Edwards.

If you were FV and if you had a pot of gold come the end of the embargo would you trust IE with a bucket of cash to go with those players you already had under contract.
Keeping within the cap what could IE do and get for us to turn it around.

The referee was shocking, bottled sending the tranmere player off for bringing sarcevic down. Masks over things though. Why wait until 60 minutes to start playing? Too many substandard performances. Calamity Delaney too many mistakes. Stay dropped. I thought tranmere would be too tough. Doyle, isgrove, Crawford lightweight passengers. Elbouzedi. He's nothing. Phoenix got the blame for summer signings. This one is evatts. Inspires no confidence. Can only think Santos and tutte had half decent games. Positive? Saved a tenner.

Another Sunday morning and what is there to say about the way our club is being managed? It's just a shambles and I really can't see what Evatt is capable of doing to sort it out.

There is of course only one way to sort this mess out and that may not be possible because of financial restraints. Sacking Evatt and his team is the answer. I really can't see that happening, so we will either drop down the league or finish in a mediocre midtable position. Neither is acceptable but we had better be ready to accept our fate of another season in division 2 and possibly longer if FV is willing to stand by him until he sees out his contract. Let this be a valuable lesson for them, don't employ a non-league manager on a three-year contract and expect him to win the league.

Prior to yesterday's game, Evatt was still saying that we could still shoot up the league, well the only way he is going to do that is to buy a few automatic rifles and get rid of the opposition. Even then he would probably have a bad result.

Remember Tobias Phoenix worked very hard to get IE.

Yes, he did but I thought that I read that it was on the orders of FV. Whether that was on the advice of Peter Kenyon I'm not sure.

Whatever the reason, Evatt is hardly covering himself in glory.

A lazy build up to Torture Tuesday today.
I was wondering have we had the players caught a chill on the coach excuse yet it must be due soon.
I hope IE is seated as high as possible in the stands so he can only watch in despair just like us, it's a shame his punishment isn't paying a tenner to be locked in a room watching and listening on iFollow.

Evatt comes out with the same old, same old, "I want the players to play angry!" That's a statement that we have heard several times from him. What has he done about it? Seemingly, nothing.
"I was disappointed with the result but pleased with the way that they responded." We lost 2-1. They didn't respond enough!

We have one of the worst defences in the league. There is a reason for that, they just aren't good enough. To top it off, our strikers aren't what they were billed up to be. The number of shots that aren't even on target is ridiculous and a lot of them end up in row Z. There is a distinct lack of backbone in the squad. We have players sitting on the bench that are better than the ones that are in the starting eleven. There are also some bad substitutions with better players being left on the bench. At the moment it's hard to find any positives or am I missing something? Let me know if you think I am.

It's to be hoped that when the new Chief scout is appointed, he is someone who really knows his job and that he isn't just another buddy of Evatt's'.

There's no mention of any Bolton players in transfer gossip I hope there's a last minute rush for some of our players if we don't get shut of some we'll be stuck with them.
