Phil Foden Appreciation Thread

They’re very bright prospects, though I think we’re still lacking a creative, controlling midfielder within that ranks.

Hopefully they can accelerate their development even further in the coming years. As we need to while Harry Kane is still around. He’s the one player in the England squad that will take years to replace.

He's a good player but I don't think he's close to being better than Silva, DeBruyne or Aguero. Think he's just a fairly good player.

I agree Robbing. Been a long time since I’ve been this excited by any young player.

Not sure he’s quite that level of talent, to be honest.

Remember he's just turned 20, nowhere near his peak yet.

He's progressing nicely towards becoming world class. He's contributing regularly now. Probably get there before Rashford does with his 5 years head start.

Why isn't Foden going to peak early, like Fowler at Liverpool and SWP did at City? Why is he going to be this elite player?? He plays for a top footballing team, so it isn't difficult for him to look good. You could swap Foden with Havertz and suddenly Havertz would look brilliant.

Why isn't Foden going to peak early, like Fowler at Liverpool and SWP did at City? Why is he going to be this elite player?? He plays for a top footballing team, so it isn't difficult for him to look good. You could swap Foden with Havertz and suddenly Havertz would look brilliant.

I think having Pep as manager will help. He'll not allow his head to get too big there. The only reason you'd peak too early like a Fowler, is either through injuries or you believing your own hype or taking your eye off the ball. Liverpool weren't the most professional side back when Fowler was at his peak. It's why they never really won anything with a talented bunch.

You my friend have lost the plot, Foden is class, its obvious to anyone that watches him

Well hopefully he wont get bang into coke, suffer loads of injuries and stay interested in football.
