He had no alternative but to leave Celtic, granted his timing was horrendous for us, but he needed to go.

His primary signing targets were allowed to go elsewhere.and his request for a £5M indoor training complex was refused.

Timothy Castagne - missed
James Justin - missed
John McGinn - missed

Rodgers might still have only stayed anothet year, but that extra year would have all but cemented Ten in a row.

Saw them a few times obviously and they were great in adding an extra sense of drama into proceedings.

The £2.3m cost will be amortised over anything between 3 - 10 years or so of course; so it's worth it in my books.

Minus the huge savings on leccy and lamp replacement anaw. It is such a no brainer you wonder why more haven't done it?
