Better Late Than Never!

Really shouldn’t be going behind to the worst team in The Championship and really shouldn’t be taking 45 minutes to score against them, however we can be grateful that we had the “big guns" to come on and thankfully they finished the job, I suppose that’s utilising the squad well!

Plus Bale did 90 minutes which can only be a good thing!

Thoughts NOW THAT THE DUST HAS SETTLED?

I make that four goals for Bale now, if he can get to ten I think that would be a pretty decent return.

On the positive Bale might start to be an asset for the second half of the season.
Ndombele is adding goals to his game because we can't expect Son and Kane to do it all.
Hope Son has his shooting boots on Thursday.

Yes, I think Bale still has a part to play.

As bad as it was, City were minutes away from getting dumped out by a league two outfit.

These things happen in the cup.

I kept thinking this, plus the team might now learn that they can score goals in the last 10 minutes if they attack. Instead of sitting back inviting pressure

Tottally right. Happens every year. Just annoying that the papers always "spin the story" to fit their narrative. Today's headlines all going with the "Spurs made to sweat" or " Spurs needed their big guns to help them out" City were 9 minutes away from going out to a team two tiers below Wycombe, but don't remember any such headlines.
Wycombe scored first. So what. Spurs were never in danger and could have had a cricket score if only slightly more clinical. Not to mention Jose was always going to give some first team players a run out before Thursday's game, given the break they had since the last game.

Bale looks like he still has a burst of speed and is starting to trust his body more.

up for him playing some part v Brighton on sunday and everton in the cup. Liverpool probably too much for him at this stage
