As the dust settles and we move on

From the whirlwind and the sandstorm, whether we agree or disagree with the decision to sack Lampard, Morris & Co yesterday it has happened and nothing will change that. And after the rawness of yesterday I’ve definitely got over it and accepted it after initially wanting every potential rat like Jorginho Werner and Alonso to be burned on a stick and Tuchel to fail miserably

Firstly let me start by saying thank you Lampard not just for the memories as a player but also for the ones as a manger. For giving the youth a chance, for managing with class and respect and for always giving it your all. Irrespective of whether Lampard was good enough and whether it was too early and tactically he wasn’t up too it the fact and reality is we’ll likely never have a manager that was so passionate about managing this club.

So thank you Frank, for believing in the youth trusting in them and bringing them through. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows but there was a lot of great moments and you certainly helped us be in a positive position overall for the future as opposed to the negative one we was in when Sarri & Hazard left and we had a transfer ban. You’ve laid some seeds & groundwork that hopefully the next manager can build on.

Onto Tuchel, any manager after Lamps is always going to be under pressure and entering a dressing room where the majority of players didn’t want the manager gone.

Hopefully Tuchel can bring his sexy football and get the best out of these players and we can find some consistency again and go on a long winning run.

Players like Werner have now got a new manager and likely a new style of player so he will get a new lease of life so up to Werner to show he isn’t a one tricky pony that could only perform in Leipzig’s system and bundesliga football so he’s one with a clean slate. havertz I wasn’t really expecting much from this season anyway plus he’s been plagued with covid and injuries. Pulisic and Ziyech also need to rediscover some attacking form so hopefully a more attacking system / style of player will help that but hopefully more balanced so we don’t leak goals like last season.

Either way fingers crossed for a good run until the end of the season and improvements can be seen. I don’t expect wholesale team changes immediately as will take time

Be interesting to see Tuchel’s captain choices, imagine Silva

Once again, thank you Lamps & thank you Morris.

Legend. Forever. Nothing will ever change that
