If Rooney is as good at signing players as he has been at shoring-up our defence, he'll do ok.

Journeyman Championship centre-forward. A bit more mobile than CKR. A few months ago we would have described such a player as utterly underwhelming but beggars can't be choosers. It shows Rooney is taking a pragmatic approach to trying to ensure we stay up this season. CKR has shown the value of a bit of experience and know-how and Gregory fits that bill.

He'll do a job at a sensible price/wage
