What is the deal with Aurier?

Love him or hate him, he is by far the best RB at the club.

Against Brighton there was a lot of discussion about our performance as it was dismal but for me one of the biggest issues that we had was that we were playing a system that relied heavily on quality wing backs without having a natural wing back on the pitch... Instead we had Davies (some kind of CB/LB melange) and Sissoko (a CM). That game would have gone very differently if we had Aurier and Regulion on the pitch, no doubt.

This leads me to the question... What has happened between him and Jose? I read an article about a bust up. Is this true?

Yeah apparently Jose blamed him completely for the goal unfairly and singled him out. He bit and stormed off

Shows how far we’ve fallen when people consider him to be far and away the best RB at the club.

Those who slated Trippier and criticised KWP, are the same who now implore their return.

Aurier was a deal with PSG that Levy went for....because he was a cheap replacement for Trippier.
He has a French criminal record and had a reputation for carrying a gun.
PSG wanted rid of him.
He turned out exactly as you all say.... an inconsistent hot head.
But the truth is that Doherty, Levy's el cheapo replacement of Aurier, is not as good as Aurier when Aurier is good.
So there you have it....since Walker left RB has never been a Spurs strong point.
And my prediction is......... we're stuck with Doherty for this season!

Fantastic prediction Ted, particularly since the transfer window is over.

Still no mention of Toljan?

There was no way Trippier was as bad as some made out on this board, I thought he was a good player. He had one bad half a season.

The only reason he was sold imo was because Levy turned a good profit, on what he paid.
Aurier was braught in as Levy no doubt got a buy now pay later deal.

Actually.....................Aurier may well be back.............when Jose realizes just how bad Doherty really is!

The Aurier that everyone is slating is the same Aurier who’s brother was muse red and yet he carried on playing and showed how committed he was to our club. It’s about time we showed the same commitment to him and get behind him. He stood up to Jose and I hope more do the same.
