We've had some awful decisions go against in the last few games to be fair. And I'm not usually one to blame referees. Usually, if you're good enough on the day, the referee should be a smart part of the game. If you're not good enough, the referees decisions will feel more impactful. That wasn't the case in the Wolves game and today, Lacazette had a clear penalty decision that bizarrely went in Aston Villa's favour even upon being reviewed by VAR.

Willian isn't being scapegoated for us losing, he's getting criticism for offering absolutely nothing on the pitch when he's one of our most experienced players. Although, in saying that, Arteta shouldn't have brought him, so he absolutely deserves criticism tonight as well.

Odegaard is still new can’t criticise him but Luiz and Leno and Willian are costing us dear and the manager too

Willian always looks like he wants to be playing football on a beach in Brazil. Always wants the game to play at his own slow pace

Willian's decision making in the final third has been better recently. He's clearly trying to be more aggressive by cutting inside to create shooting opportunities for himself.

Unfortunately it's not happening and we don't have time to be patient with a guy of his age. He was supposed to be a stop gap that instantly, allbeit temporarily, improved us. It hasn't worked, so all parties need to move on in the summer.

The very fact that he was brought on when we need a goal and had Martinelli to call on was staggering in itself.

This shows that Willian is going to play some part in each of our remaining games
