Advantage Benfica

So as I understand with both games being played at a neutral venue Arsenal play ‘at home’ in the second leg but the away goals rules will still apply as normal so if for example we draw the first leg 0-0 and the second leg is 1-1 AET we go out on ‘away’ goals this gives Benfica the advantage of possibly having an extra 30 mins score away goals but we don’t get the advantage on an possible extra 30 mins at the Emirates which defiantly gives Benfica an extra advantage. I always thought the away goals counting after extra time rule wasn’t all that fair in the first place but at least normally you can argue we’d get the advantage of playing an extra thirty minutes at home. Away goals should NOT count AET if both game have to be played at a neutral venue

P.S our ‘Home’ leg will be played at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens which is Olympiacos' stadium,

It's almost as if you expect UEFA to know the global pandemic wasn't going to disappear overnight and would still be affecting football this season. They aren't Mystic Meg.
----------------------------------------------------------------------They’d knew it was a possibility maybe even likely so they should have come up with rules in case and they know now so they should make it a temporary rule

In fairness they actually would all but know it would still be around this season. No credible expert has said otherwise since around what, May 2020?

We will just lose 9-0 on aggregate instead of 5-0

I always felt that it wasn't fair. It would be better to go to penalties afterwards than play ET. And in current situation of the world, going straight to penalties would be better. Personally, I find the away goal rules to be unfair anyway.

Seems unnecessary to play two legs if it’s at a neutral venue

Yes does seem pointless doing 2 legs if it’s a natural venue, and also unnecessary to travel too 2 different countries during a pandemic. Should just pick the most suitable country and play 1 game that includes extra time and Pens in needed. I suspect it’s a money thing, tv companies and advertising would have paid for the 2 legs per fixture

Yeah doesn't make any sense having the away goals rule for neutral venues. The rule should be scrapped anyway, home teams become too afraid of conceding and it leads to more defensive football.

Why not just play all these games as one tie only on a neutral ground. With all the risks and restrictions involved with travel, its stupid to travel twice.
