Luiz on the whole has done more good than bad.

I don’t mind him for one more year. For all his brain farts, he is still a better CB than Holding at this time.
The person to make way should be Chambers. Three right footed CB ( Luiz, Saliba Holding) and two left footed (Mari and Gabriel) should stand us in good stead next season.

Luiz makes too many mistakes these days. I don't see why a good manager needs another loud voice in the dressing room.

Luiz has had a decent season actually. And he is only 33 too so one more year....gah...I am torn. If we are poor and need to spend elsewhere...great. But we can't claim poverty if we are paying Willian 200k a week as rumored. I would have planned on letting Luiz go and shipping out Chambers and buying Upamecano for the measly 40 million quid. Offer him top wages and make a statement. Upamecano, Saliba as the understudy, Gabriel, Mari and Holding would be amazing.

But we are probably going to buy another 19 year old, sell Saliba and start Luiz or Holding for much of next season.

Basically...I'd be ok keeping Luiz if we made necessary improvements elsewhere (RB, CM, LB and ST). But I dont trust this manager, directors or owner.

Realistically where would Arsenal have ranked on his list of options? Not that I know anything about him other than he's the latest name banded about.

He's a liability in Def and is to slow in Att. Why any of you want to see him hoofing and giving away pens in a Gunners shirt all next season too is beyond me. You must just WANT to keep losing and fighting just to stay in the top half of the table
