Nagelsmann to replace Mourinho at Tottenham

Julian Nagelsmann has already revealed when he could replace Jose Mourinho at Tottenham..............

Here's the scoop.............
*****************
Julian Nagelsmann has established himself as one of the most highly-coveted managers in world football and reportedly has admirers at Tottenham Hotspur.

RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly on Tottenham Hotspur's radar to potentially replace Jose Mourinho as head coach.

Following a 3-0 loss against Manchester City, it has been reported that Mourinho's long-term future at the club is now under intense scrutiny, despite guiding the club to the Carabao Cup final - which takes place against Jose Mourinho's side in April.

According to the Athletic, Spurs are keeping tabs on Nagelsmann who may be a potential replacement for the Portuguese tactician.

Nagelsmann's stock continues to rise within the game and he guided RB Leipzig to the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
This season, the Bundesliga outfit have reached the round of 16 stage of the competition once again where they'll be facing the reigning Premier League champions Liverpool over two legs.

And amid Nagelsmann's links to Spurs, coming up against English opposition has added a new wrinkle to the reports.

Interestingly, the 33-year-old has admitted that he can imagine following in the footsteps of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp - whom he's been likened to - by managing in England one day.

However, Nagelsmann has effectively revealed that it will be difficult for Spurs to lure him away from Leipzig prior to his contract expiring.

"I have a contract now until 2023 so I think I will stay in Leipzig," said Nagelsmann in an interview with the Telegraph. "
*************************

Of course his side lost to Liverpool yesterday, 0-2. So maybe this pot has come off the boil........except if Jose continues the downward spiral, ...Levy & Co will be getting anxious.

Tuchel was the #1 candidate (not wumming). Similarities to Pochettino tactically, was free, and had expressed a fondness for Spurs in the past. Doesn't even like signing long term contracts so the financial hit on sacking Mourinho would've at least been cushioned slightly by a softer than usual outlay (short term) on the new guy.

Should've poached him when you had the chance.

Lots of clubs have amazing facilities, again I just think some have over egged it a bit.

I feel ya but I look at the debt of the stadium, the further loan Spurs took out, the pay off for Jose and his team, the signings which simply haven't worked and the lack of youth coming through and I'm not so sure it's that good a project regardless of USB ports in the back of the seats.

Could be wrong of course but I feel this pandemic has hurt Spurs more than most (through no fault of their own).

As for desirable area... so little to do with it imo. Pep and Klopp live in the North West

It’s a bit more than USB ports in chairs to be fair. But I do get what you are saying in regards to all top clubs having excellent facilities.

That’s said for the innovative, young, outward thinking coaches like Nagelsmann facilities mean everything. The training ground is the machine head for an elite coach.

The youth hasn’t produced much of late?!?

Tanganga has faired well. Debuts were given to Devine and Scarlett. But then look at Kane, we all seen not an awful lot, then came the explosion. The ingredients are all there for the ‘right’ manager!

Nagelsmann, Ten Hage, Brendan or Allegri are the guys we need to go for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd avoid Ten Hag. The Ajax youth system tends to flatter some managers. The club is what drives their success, not the managers. Their way of playing and approach is so good it covers the cracks in any manager's abilities. Look at De Boer after he left. Didn't go to well for him afterwards. I guess the same accusation could be thrown at Nangelsmann give how well run RBL are but I think he did just as well at Hoffenheim before so he has pedigree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ten Hag is the one who made them better than they are. Before Ten Hag they never qualified for the CL in the last 15 years. De Boer was and is a boring manager. Bosz who is the current Leverkusen manager is naive in his playing philosophy.

Winning the league in the Netherlands doesn't say much but he has impressed in the CL.

That’s not actually true. I’ve visited Liverpool for business and leisure a number of times the fast few years and it’s a really nice city, very vibrant, lots of interesting history etc. Its one of the better cities to have a weekend in in the UK. I’ve found Birmingham to be a dive, and Manchester I’ve been to countless times and it’s a massively overrated craphole. Most Mancs are full fo their own self importance and think Manchester is the epicenter of the universe but in reality it’s a dreary facking khaze full of dossers and crackheads.

It's like any city, it has it's good bits and it's bad bits. There are parts of Liverpool that is a dump, but the actual city centre is a lovely place to visit, especially by the coast.

Salford is a decent area in Manchester, but the city is just one big building site at the moment because it's in huge development, a lot of money is going into that city. The people of Manchester are annoying though I must admit, but it's a nice city.

Went to Manchester uni. Class city.

Liverpool is quality as well, been on stags there and it's a great place for a weekend. Some really nice spots.

Birmingham I don't know well but I assume the worst
