oh yeah I'll be really annoying and answer my own question, you're focusing on your Thursday night footy

the difference between the sides was errors.

They got in and our keeper stood up. We got in and their keep laid down.

they failed to hit the target several times. We took the few real chances we got.

great result, a lot of issues we had went unpunished but we should be grateful to see the work rate for 65mins (ox and shaqirir lol dear oh dear)

their keeper stood up n stopped salah 1v1 too. Gulacsi done really well for them, been a top keeper for a while now. So much for Achterberg knowing his stuff, who'd we keep over him again?

They had a few good chances from wide, Trent had an excellent game and was often found 2v1 with angelino not being tracked by salah or covered by one of the mf. Trent on the other hand was covering Kabak very well but with him doing that angelino was often free on the outside.

They had a great chance in the end cause Hendo made a decision as if he was a mf again and pressed a guy who made a run in behind. No need for it at that stage of the game, only bad thing he did wrong tbf other than one time he took too long on the ball then tried blame others. Also he defends the box from crosses as if hes a mf, saw him around the pen spot at times when he should be across the 6 yard with the other cb.

We played well but ultimately needed 2 mistakes to score. But we played well enough to force them i guess. Alisson n Bobby i felt weren't great. Alissons distribution was awful n Bobby too sloppy, a lot of our play broke down with him and his pressing was lazy, often on his heels, its a massive worry that, he wasnt lazy just ball watching n waiting for things to happen and reactionary with his pressing rather than on his toes rather than proactive.

he lay down on both goals. Very tough positions he was left in but he made it easy for both of our forwards as they had their choice of where to put it.

gulasci has done well for himself but left quite a while ago. we had reina and jones and honestly gulasci wanted to go to make himself a career so I say fair play to him.

For 15mins Leipzig were in at will there. the chance at the end was a CB playing everyone on while a cb/cm was stading up trying to play off. really bad decision making.

alisson need to stop berating himself and more than that you can see him put him foot on the ball and drag it back under himself in indecision. He doesn't know what to do with it where as the instruction to the team should be work it wide, if theres no option play it in to the channel.

Theres times where team mates are just abdicating their responsibilty to even look around and see an option and passing it right back.

We are inviting teams further and further on but without the talent to play out.

Only watched the first half but you looked like you had the intensity back. They were good opposition for you in terms of the high line they were playing too, was exactly the game and performance you needed.
