Busby, Shankly and Stein Documentary

If you've not caught this yet, and you've got Amazon Prime, The Three Kings is well worth a watch.

It's a story we all know, but watching the story of three of my idols presented together with all the archive footage was brilliant.

Still the three greatest ever for me, despite everything Fergie and Paisley achieved, can't quite put my finger on why, maybe because it was different times and not run by the clubs that could pay the most.

Yes, it’s a-really good doc that, well worth a watch..all 3 absolutely outstanding managers. The decline of shankly after retiring reminded me a lot of certain older folks I’ve known who lived for work, and in retiring and losing their perception of purpose, went down hill fast.

Red or Dead by David Peace is a good Shankly read as well (it's like The Damned United, if you enjoyed that)
