Regardless of whether Jose didn't manage the whole of last season, it's fair to say we should have seen an improvement in results a season on. Well so far, having played a little over half the games, I see we are only 4 points better off on the same fixtures played last season (accounting for relegated and promoted teams swapping places). So barely one win better off. What's worse is, with the next 5 fixtures coming up:
West Ham (A)
Burnley (H)
Palace (H)
Arsenal (A)
Newcastle (A)
We managed to get 13 points from these last season. In fact for our next 9 fixtures coming up we didn't lose any of them in the equivalents last season.
It really does hit home how poor this season is turning out when we find we have to go on a good run right now just to maintain slightly better performance levels than last season.
I trust that if we find the Pellets tonight are poisonous and we continue our poor run in the league through those above games, the board will be looking hard into a replacement manager, at least behind the scenes. I don't think any Spurs fans can argue with that.

only played Leicester once but i get your point. If you try to step back and think more balanced and to positives, then there is hope for the run in ahead but would need to be similar or better to our first 15 games.

we've had a tough run of games over the last few months. Playing Chelsea LFC Leicester and City twice in our last 15 games. Our form and results have been really up and down and right now they are poor.
We need to get a run going, build some confidence, put some points on the board and while these next 5 games aint easy, they are not as tough as the run we;ve just had Exactly the sorts of games we need to win if we have any top 4 (or top 6) aspirations.

There is no 2 ways about it, if Jose is to save his job there has to be a good run starting from now and with that we may have some confidence going into the cup game.

Hope and Spurs
We are a lot better than our recent form but this moment is one of those things where i expected Jose to make a difference.
I really did expect to see us winning the bread an butter games and being highly competitive in the big fixtures. It started like this but has derailed.
If we fail to get 10 pts minimum from this run then really Jose is failing to live up to expectations on almost every level. We've had a dark time of late, its now a massive challenge but one where i expect Jose to justify his massive wages.

Last year, to be fair, we had horrendous injuries.
This season however, there's no excuse. We're just carp and it's boring to watch with the whole squad at his disposal.
Jose out.

I don't disagree with what you say. But we are reliant on players stepping up too. I think the impact that managers can have on every moment of every game is over played. We really need players like Sanchez, Lloris, Dier etc to stop making stupid individual errors.
We need Moura to remember he's a Brazilian and we need Lamela to learn to release the ball earlier.
These issues, combined with Jose's team selections and tactics will decide our future.
