Why would you have subbed of struijk or cooper?

The reason he didn't play was because those two had great games yesterday.

Given the amount of games they have had together at the back, they are performing quite admirably...getting better game by game.

We're really very inconsistent these days, hope those injured players come back soon...especially KP, Koch, and Rodrigo. Would be great to see Forshaw and Berardi back asap...

and while you shouldnt allow sentiment to hold you back in building upon our thus far good season i think he at least deserves a premiership game under his belt

Grealish is doing his tricks on the touchline and ball runs loose and Beradi steams in and puts him into West Stand uninjured but pride destroyed with Smith, Watkins and co jaws on the floor. It's a great send off literally for him. "Do you need us to kick the ball out fellas?"

I agree with this. Really like what the club are doing with Llorente. Bigger picture, I really do think he's a player who is going to help us long term.

If we had Villa with a couple of games to go then I wouldn't mind seeing Berra just play like the Hansons from Slap Shot.

I imagine the medical staff at the club are probably the best informed to give an effective path back into first team duties for him

So the accepted route back for others is minutes with the U23's, we've seen it time and time again, but not for Llorente, for him, despite the fact that there was a game earlier in the day that he could have used to get his fitness levels up, and despite the fact that he has broken down possibly when he hasn't had those minutes in the past.
So you both think the medical staff advice is that the best route back for him is to sit and watch the match from the stands rather than get minutes under his belt.
We got through the match without needing him and but for a complete catastrophe had the personnel with Dallas, Ayling, Struijk, Alioski, Cooper, Davis, Shackleton and Huggins to cover in defence and DM if required.
To say that the medical staff know best is just lazy and there is no justification for him being on the bench when it would have benefitted him better to play earlier in the day.
