I’m sure in days gone by, when the goo was hitting the fan, the Boards of Directors of clubs used to make public statements about performances on the pitch, as well as backing the manager.
The “vote of confidence" was usually nothing more than them preparing the gallows, but, is it just me or do the Board seem to be quiet ATM?
Unless I’ve missed it, I’ve heard zilch. Nada.
Does that mean they’re happy, feel their hands are tied (cost), or am I wrong and in modern football Boards just don’t make these types of statements any more? I’m sure the Arsenal Board had plenty to say under the last days of Wenger and Emery.....

I was thinking - if the cup final was next week and we lost, I reckon he’d be gone.
With it being still 8 weeks (?) away, the Board are (wrongly IMO) holding fire until then.

If it gets really bad, it’ll be an interim appointment until the summer. It’ll be given to someone with the strict instruction that no matter how well they do, it will only ever be short term. Not sure who’d steer the ship though.
