Millers v Forest Match Thread

New York Stadium Tues' 1945

"Teemu Pukki's 15th goal of the season saw Norwich beat a spirited Rotherham side to go seven points clear at the top of the Championship.

The Finland striker ran through after a clever dummy from Todd Cantwell to slot under the excellent Millers goalkeeper Viktor Johansson and score the only goal in a game full of chances.

Rotherham made the leaders sweat for their victory, Ben Wiles smashing a second-half volley against the bar and Ben Crooks' strike kept out by a last-ditch Max Aarons block, but Norwich held firm and could have won by more."

So a typical hard fought Championship game during which Rotherham didn't capitulate, they were simply undone by Norwich's more incisive ruthless finishing.

Rotherham concede quite a few [40] but that's counter balanced by popping 33 in at the other end.

We can all manipulate statistic's to prove what ever, the harsh reality of playing so many games in such a short of time, is that we can't look any further ahead than Tuesday night at the New York Stadium.

Hopefully Mighten gets another start, who is a Nottingham lad who joined the Academy when he was 8 years old! Where do Ifollow get their commentators from? I think Taylor should start and give Murray 35 minutes at the end.

Manager is definitely having an impact now - he made some great acquisitions this January

Do you still think we’re going down?

Think we got a bit lucky tonight but makes up for losing to Swansea when we completely outplayed them and lost

At this moment in time, no I don’t

I never once doubted the manager or his ability and am 100% behind him, always have been - I said, even if we went down, we should still stick with Chris Hughton

If we can get positive results in the next 2 games, I’d be even more confident of our ability to get ourselves away from the drop zone

Can’t emphasise how big a win tonight was, Rotherham were no pushovers and in the past were the kind of team we’d lose against, even when we were flying high - great result tonight

If we win the next 2 can we dream about squeezing into 6th position on the last day on goal difference!!!

Grabban no doubt offer to Qatar probably doing a Lyle Taylor and does not want to get injured before his final big money move!!

To answer your first question - No.
But I do think if we win them both we can feel safe from relegation.
If (big if) we then go on to pick up eight points from the four following games then we could think about the playoffs.

We’re in a much better position than we were 10 games ago, but all I’m bothered about is getting us away from that Relegation Zone, anything on top of that is a bonus....

....starting with a win at Derby of course
