Let give Bruno a rest.
What literally is the point of playing him in a game set and match

Its these kind of selections that annoy me. Why has he brought Rashford on?

The fact it was for Bruno makes me think he didn't want to play either for more than 45 mins. Makes sense.

It would have made more sense to have both of them on bench. At least its only 45 mins a piece.

Probably to keep him ticking over. I dont think that the players are training as much this season as they would in a normal season.

Ole has said this himself. We won’t much before Chelsea either.

Whilst I was of course surprised to see Bruno start last night, I think there's only so many changes you make before it gives the opposition a bit of encouragement/motivation. The last thing We would have wanted would have been wholesale changes and a nervy game where they get a couple of early goals. Maguire was rested, who is in much more need of a rest than Bruno added to the fact that we don't have too many fit CM options to come in.

Didn’t ole recently discuss this? He said he asks Bruno if he needs a rest, Bruno refuses, he’s a player who needs to game time to keep sharp and isn’t one who benefits from a rest.

I wouldn't have been against Bruno being rested and if beeky or mata were available I've no doubt he would've been. But as has been mentioned, Brunos form comes with game time. Plus he got a 45 min runout and chill and we are through due to the hard work in the 1st leg.

Ole had to maintain a professional performance last night. Imagine if he'd gone all in with the changes and thrown a load of kids in (as I've seen so many people call for) and that penalty had gone in?
It would be a complete embarrassment if they had scored a second be for ehakf time and he'd found himself needing to hook all the kids and throw the senior team in to see the game out.
He can't be as impatient as the fans, he's dealing with people, their careers and he has a duty of care. Imagine the abuse the likes of Shoretire and Amad would have received, not just from rival fans, our own as well, had we had a rocky game.
Sociedad are no mugs, they aren't miles off Barcelona and chucking kids in who have barely played any senior minutes could have massively backfired and caused all sorts of potential issues. He clearly wanted a professional performance that saw us through with no egg on our face, gave some minutes to key players to keep them sharp without them needing to push themselves and to get to a point where he could introduce some of the younger lads without it gojng South.
In my opinion he played it really well.

Agree with all of this.
As much as I love to see the youngsters given a chance, we have seen in the past that if you throw too many in together it can backfire.

If Ole says it, it must right. It reminds me of the submissive animals in Orwell’s Animal Farm.

Erm what? Ole says that the sqaud isn't training as much as they would in a normal season and you think it's odd that we beleive him? Are you suggesting that you know more than Ole about how often they train?
