State of pitches are resulting in below par performance

A lack of technique, patience and application is major factor in below par performances. Comes from too much pyjama cricket.

If i'm honest the 3rd test was great to watch, literally every over something was happening.

People keep going on about root getting a 5 for but looking at the wickets he got 3 of them were just ugly slogs/shots. To me the India batters thought they could get quick runs off him and ended up looking like fools. If they just batted normally i don't think he would have got the 5.

Also a lot of people are stating the pink ball might have played a big part. Watching Simon Hughes after the test match talking about it makes me think it might well have done for quite a few batters with the ball skidding on.

The pitch was a disgrace, totally unsuitable for test match cricket, but some of the batting was awful also.

I haven't seen England making any excuses. On the contrary Leach even came out and said the media are making a big deal out of the pitch but they are just looking at working hard on their skills against quality spinners on turning pitches.

You can have a discussion about the pitch without it being the reason why a team lost or without it being bitterness. The pitch is often a major discussion point, whether it's a road, whether it's a dust bowl, whether it's a green top. You always have to factor conditions into performance whether that's to be positive or negative about a player or team.

The pitch was bad, England were bad, India bowled well and Rohit has shown his class in the last 2 test matches where the majority of others have failed badly.

To be fair, a lot of England fans have taken the defeat on the chin with minimal excuses .

Seeing a test match end in 2 days is the disappointment not so much losing.

I know some are fishing for an English bite but the truth is everybody could see that England just could not bat very well.

Straight balls hitting the pads or the stumps.

The best team won and we move on.

I see India fans are still angry for the way they lost the CWC final in a super over.
