Decent result

Keeps Chelsea at arms length.

4 points this week would be a very decent return.

Liverpool vs Chelsea this week also. Big opportunity to gain on at least one of those before the City game.

It’s not. Our record against the top six is awful : one goal (a pen).

It was not a a decent result, it was poor

They been very good under Tuchel and won away Vs Atletico the other night.

I'm sorry but a point today was not poor at all.

0 wins against top 6. Happy for clean sheet. Happy with a draw. A club legend was banging on about it on skysports!! Of course he is bitter and talking nonsense

It’s not a poor result at all. But we do need to buck up our ideas against the big teams. Not been good enough this season.

Missed the game today.

But saw the result.

Another goalless draw against a big 6 club.

Worrying signs that we are incapable of even scoring let alone winning against any of them.

I get that these teams may have altered their way of playing against us and that may have affected the outcome of the results. But to not win even one game game is worrying.

I don't think there has ever been a season where a second placed team has failed to beat any of the traditional big 4/6 clubs at least once on their way to finishing second or even thord in their respective season?

i think most people would have taken a point before KO, and in the context of a weekend when west ham and leicester lost, keeping chelsea at bay is good enough.

but as pointed out above, zero goals from open play in 7 games against the big six is genuinely appalling (and that extends to last season even, when all we had to show post-lockdown vs spurs and chelsea in the cup were 2 penalties).

must admit, i'm starting to feel a teeny bit like i did at the end of jose's 2nd season, that getting 2nd against expectations cannot be sniffed at, but you do wonder how much more the current manager can get out of this squad.

How is a draw away from home at Chelsea - a side with a better and fitter squad, fifth and climbing in the table, enjoying a new manager bounce and having won six of their last seven, including putting away the (comfortable) leaders of La Liga - not a decent result?

What he, or any other coach coming in to replace him, needs is further development of the squad for starters.

We’re still short of a proper nine, a right winger, an RB to compete with AWB, a CM and a partner for Maguire.

Cant you find more excuses for a poor display?

That isn’t what I was doing, is it?

I was defending the statement that is was a “decent result”. I haven’t said anything about the performance.
