All our strikers are wasteful or rubbish, all our midfielders are 20th+ in terms of passing, and our defence is a shambles.

I am not the biggest Ole fan myself but considering how poor our team is according to rivals and our own fans you would think we are where Brighton are, not second.

It certainly isn't poor, nowhere near as poor as some are suggesting, it's not great either but it's just not playing very well.

We do have something in common with Brighton, our results don't reflect our performances.

For the record, McT is 25th in the league for all midfielders in accurate long passes per game so far this season (10+ apps).

I would suggest that ours do. We manage to turn it on enough to get the results. Although this isn’t sustainable.

Saying it isn't sustainable surely tells you then that our results this season don't correspond to our performances on the whole, that we can't keep getting results at the rate that we had been due to how we've been playing.

Brighton are the opposite in that they've performed better than their results suggest. They just can't put the ball in the net, something we've managed to do in many of our games that have been decided by fine margins because we've got the quality where it matters. If they had better forwards they'd probably be competing for a European place.
