These statements are fine but they always smell to me of the accused turning up with a suit on
Maybe proactive would have been better than reacting to a report

Indeed, ideally we would have taken this stance before the report.

Then shortly after, but still we have arrived at the correct place if rather late.

I guess there's always different ways to look at things.

I'm glad they've released a statement and an apology.

I'm also glad they took the time to respond thoughtfully and waited such that it wouldn't get lost in the 55 celebrations/articles

Im sure some people will read it that way but I would suggest its more about clarifying the "take it up with the liquidators" issue.

For it to be a dig at celtic you'd probably need to refer to partner clubs or whatever it was celtic came out with.

I don't think so.

The statement was everything they should be saying regardless of how it is viewed by other groups.

This is about Rangers now responding to the events of the past.

Its absolutely the right statement and stance, clears up the questions around newco responsibility.

Its a bit late for me although debear makes a good point about taking correct time and then not wanting to hide it in all the good news
