Ahead Of Sunday

Morning All.... Good win last night..... nothing to complain about, professional performance in the away leg should see us through without too much bother.

Was really nice to see such a competitive bench giving Jose the ability to limit minutes for key guys having had such a hectic season with more to come !

Couple of points ahead of Sunday

1) Doesn’t matter who the opponents... Sissoko always out of his depth and always our weakest link... Please Jose dont start him Sunday

2) Thought Lamela deserves to start the NLD with Moura the obvious choice to replace him if he runs out of steam. Really liked his energy and attacking intent. Not sure Dele did enough to justify a place a head of him or Lucas.

3) I’m not a fan of Davies but I thought he did well last night.... Biggest upside was that Reggie got a rest ahead of the derby

4) Dier and Sachez scare the shlt outta me, Surely Toby has to come back for Sunday (Probably with Sanchez) who’s defo benefitting from getting a run of games

5) Don’t bottle it Jose...... Having won 5 on the bounce (grated the opposition not the strongest) but lets focus on our strengths, Play on the front foot and defend from the front

Team for Sunday

Arsenal like to dickaround at the back with the ball so i can see us pressing them high and hard

if we faff around like this on sunday I shall be . Like you say spurs are a good pressing team so any more of our shenanigans will likely lead to a few utter balls ups and most likely a goal or two to you

I'd go for bale as the 10 and one of the grafters on the right to help out the right back

There's only so much Bale can do on that side but move him to the middle and you lose a lot of his game. Look at that cross last night for one. He's way more effective from that side. He has a defensive responsibility wherever he plays but you're right. That side will be a problem. One of their biggest threats is Tierney and he's got it in him to completely school Aurier. Down that side you'll have Tierney and probably Aubameyang. Now there's a recipe for one of Serge's classic penalty howlers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sissoko and Hojbjerg holding with Nodombele (if he's fit) higher up in midfield. There's more than enough in Son, Kane, Bale and Ndombele to break with.

I hope that Jose has learned his lesson with Sissoko.

Arsenal are not sooo dangerous as to warrant special selection to cope with Tierney.

It's only in the last 5 now, that since Jose has stopped employing low-block tactics, and we are pressing from the front, and defending collectively, like we used to in seasons 2015-16, that the team found the rhythm and has started to produce more energetic displays.

Fans warm to that and now, seeing Lamela, Lucas and Sanchez putting in the shift and efforts, that they are rightly being applauded.
Players need to earn that

It's good Jose now know his tactics for this team, and his selection yesterday was a masterclass, tbh.

We are now in a good position with player availability and freshness for the NLD.

Agree, Aurier should easily cope with him, he is bog standard average.

I love our front six these days, strongest it's been for a long time. By that I mean Ndombele, PEH, Bale, Son, Kane plus one of Lamela, Dele or Moura.
