BOOOORRIIIIIIING!

Yes, my post for some but stuff them.

Can't believe I just watched a NLD, we won and yet I was bored sh!tless for all of it. Not sure about the rest of you but to/for me this has become a recurring theme of utter boredom under Arteta. Even when we score goals and win, the game is dull, slow and cumbersome to watch. Find myself cursing it to hurry up and just end already by about 60-70 min mark.

Sorry but how anyone can be behind this manager is a mystery to me. I mean seriously, is this dull dull borefest of possession obsession football, what you want to see week in week out for years and years to come? 80mins bored sh!tless, 5-10 mins sweating the lead at the end, with a total 5 mins of actual exciting attacking play somewhere or other (if ya lucky), is not my idea of the team I want to watch or support. I mean if the board were willing to put up with this management and league sh!t show all this season anyway, then they really should have just left Emery in charge and been done with it. We'd be far better off for it now.

I said that like months back. That is Arteta tactics, defend for most of the game or not attack much hence why they average very few shots on target per game. Arteta is lucky he has a great goalkeeper and great finishing players at the club.

Arsenal 3 shots on target against Spurs, 3 against Burnley, 4 against Leicester, 1 against Man City, 5 against Leeds, 3 against Aston Villa, 3 against Wolves, 3 against Man Utd. Those numbers are really low.

Erm football is exciting to watch, that was not. Like almost all the matches under Arteta. I happen to hate defensive, slow, one dimensional play and I absolutely despise watching team kicking the ball back and forth along their back line for unreasonable amounts of time.

Bare in mind you're talking to someone who if it was up to me, the rules wouldn't allow teams to use the Arteta approach. I'd ban passing back into your own half without attacking the goal first (like the half court violation in basketball), in a heartbeat. Either that or add a shot clock. Passing backwards has gotten far far to common in the PL game. I watch football to see teams attack the opposition goal, more than the pass back toward their own.

All defence and little to no attacking, makes football a dull game. Could win 5-0 playing Arteta's way and I'd still be bored sh!tless by the game itself. The more they can change the rules to FORCE teams to attack when in possession, the better. The WB system has the PL dying a slow death.
