Probably deserves his place whilst ddg off form, but an on form or even half on form ddg is a way better keeper imo.

Hendo is a decent keeper but he’s yet to prove he’s much more than just that. Ddg has been exceptional, though off form for a while now.

How long does he have to play well to prove he is more than just 'decent', surely if he is playing 'decent' right now and as you say DDG is off form and has been for a while (understatement) you would keep Hendo in goal until he proves he isn't good enough?

Saying a 'half on form' DDG is 'way better' than Henderson just makes you look like an idiot tbh. Especially when Henderson has proven in the last 5 games this isn't true, unless you think DDG has been even less than half on form.

Half form may have been an exaggeration but you get the point. I haven’t seen much from Hendo to say he could reach the heights ddg did at best. Not much at all -yet, he looks reasonably solid but not exceptional in any real way, which isn’t a bad thing as I think he’s decent enough without being great in most areas. But as you’ll see from my comment I’ve said I think Hendo should stay in goal, unless ddg’s form picks up a lot.

There's no disrespect, DDG was phenomenal at his best and our best and only world class player for many years. It's not disrespectful to suggest Henderson deserves to keep his place.

De Gea is still better than Henderson in some/many aspects, and if he was 'on form' or even close to it he'd be far far better in these aspects (reactions, shot stopping, saves with his feet etc).

The reason Henderson should keep his spot is because there are some things he is already better than DDG at, coming off his line, claiming crosses and clearing it from corners etc. These are the areas where generally at the moment we NEED a keeper like him, because our defence has weaknesses that he helps ease the problem.

De Gea is one of the worst keepers in the league this season for shot stopping and in the CL.

DDG was world class. Emphasis on WAS. He hasn’t been at that level since World Cup 2018.

29 goals against in the premierleague when he should have conceded 26.6 and in the CL he conceded 8 when he should have conceded 6.5.

Interestingly Henderson has an 86.4% save percentage in the premierleague and 91.7% save percentage in the Europa League conceding less goals than expected in the PL conceding 3 goals instead of 4.2 and 1 goal in the EL instead of 1.8. In the CL he conceded 2 goals instead of 0.9 but we gifted 2 goals that game.
