It's a bloody cheek – but quite flattering! Wiki tells me that this was adopted by the Minnesota Twins back in 2012 – so I suppose it's a bit late to be annoyed now.
I once met the lyricist Barry Mason at a songwriters' workshop. He told us a good story about when his composition, The Last Waltz sung by Engelbert Humperdinck, went to No 1 in the charts. Feeling chuffed with himself, Barry went for a pint to celebrate. While he was having a pee in the loo, the bloke next to him started whistling The Last Waltz. Barry turned and proudly said to him, 'I wrote that!' The bloke said, 'I thought Les Reed wrote it.' Barry said, 'He wrote the melody, I wrote the words.'
Quick as a flash, the bloke replied: 'I wasn't whistling the words.'

Jonty, I remember people at the time not being happy, I just wasn't sure what the sport was anymore, like I said Lorra put it in his write up that it was them which I acknowledged!..
Sorry for being the forgettable croak that I've become!..
