Bees V Forest Match Thread 12:30

This away game is a 12:30 hrs K.O

Derby County came from 2-0 down at half-time to earn a deserved draw with Championship high fliers Brentford.

After 27-goal Championship top scorer Ivan Toney's eighth-minute penalty and a low shot from Sergi Canos, Lee Gregory got one back before fellow half-time substitute Louie Sibley's stunning left-foot curler just four minutes from time.

Can we achieve a similar result I wonder? Well not if the goal greedy Ivan Toney gets a sniff of our goal, he has amassed 27 goals so far. He has to be the find of the season, after being signed from League One club Peterborough United, where he scored 40 goals during 76 appearances.

Apart from slipping up against Derby they've also lost 1-0 to Norwich, thats not really grounds for optimism though. They had a blip in February losing to Coventry, QPR & Barnsley.

They were possibly running out of steam in the second half against the sheep as they made four second half substitutions late on.

Brentford are the divisions highest goal scores with 64, although they've also let a few in at the other end.

Hopefully Hughton has rested a few players and a fresh fully fit team runs out tomorrow. I'm getting irked by the lack of game time for Taylor; but that will probably continue, to keep playing either Murray or Grabban [who is either injured or not interested] doesn't make sense.

I hate the International break, just as we get something to build on, we get time off. Worrall should be back for Cardiff but Figs and McKenna didn’t do much wrong, also credit to both fullbacks, Bong and Christie for crucial game saving blocks.

It was obviously a handball offence by Raya but is it a yellow or red?

Raya’s handball would only have been yellow.

Results didn’t go to bad for us today either

Well how lucky were we yesterday?
soft penalty, they could have been 3-0 up before the equaliser. How Cafu didn't get a yellow & give away a F/K in the build up is unbelievable.

That was a lucky point and Derby lost as well so a very good day.

I think overall the debateable decisions were evened out. Cafu maybe, but Mbuendia high kick attempt on Garner went unpunished.

We've had worse refs
