Compston os a truly truly awful actor.

He won a watch with LoD. Every time I watch it I think how much better it would be with a proper actor in that role.

And it’s not a Celticy thing. James Macavoy in that role would improve the show 1000%

I was unsure about him until I saw that. He was superb in it. Carried the whole movie.

I'm with Hamish on Compston. I'm completely mystified by how he made it.

A stupid wee voice regardless of the pathetic accent he chooses. A completely expressionless face. Totally garbage at his job.

I like Line of Duty but the only acting you see on it comes from the guest baddy. The three main actors are absolute planks.

McAvoy is Hollywood, X-Men etc... acting with the likes of Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Keira Knightly etc...

In not comparing them. I'm just saying one is good and the other isn't.

I was a bit sceptical of Scott Wright coming in as we've had a recent history of players in his potition just not performing once they come to us.

However, from the cameos seen so far I think he'll be a great addition to the squad and bringing him in 6 months early means he can hit the ground running next season and also have a winning mentality to boot.

The reason Compston is a TV actor is because he isnt very good.

I agree MacAvoy is on a different level but I was only using him to make the point I dont dislike Compston as an actor because hes a smelly celticy guy.

There are loads of other British actors who would be better than Compston in that role. Take Daniel Mays for one - he was killed off pretty quickly in LoD. I think he would improve the show massively in Compstons role.

I met Iain Robertson in Walkabout years and years ago. He doesn't find people slurring "Sarah, I really fancy you so how about it?" into his ear over and over that funny, apparently.

He was a right be llend actually. Drinking J2O. Wrong 'un,
