If you would have told me 10 years ago that we’d be outplaying Man Utd to reach our first FA Cup semi final in 40 years, but no one could go because there was a global pandemic meaning we wouldn’t get to be at Wembley I would have laughed in your face abs said, go make the science fiction film.

Strangely it happened!

Now I’m not daft enough to believe that two fully fit and firing teams yesterday would have resulted in the same outcome, but I’m still amazed in the way we won the game. We actually deserved it.

Not sitting in playing all horrible and defensive until Tony Cottee pops up with a winner because you’ve fallen asleep playing us, but because we actually played well.

If both teams had fully fit squads this match is a close one to call. With Barnes, Maddison and others out the advantage swings firmly towards Man Utd.

I have to say, though, that their cup game in midweek and OGS's decision off the back of it to rest key players may have been a decisive factor in giving us back the advantage.
