April Fixtures

This is going to be either a brilliant month or a wake up call.

I think we should beat Shef U then maybe surprise one of Liverpool, City or Manu.

With safety not really an issue now does anyone think we might actually relax a little and have a great month?

I’m going for 6 points from those 12.

There is absolutely no way that Bielsa will let anyone take their foot off the gas, or risk points by playing the U23s.

£2m additional income per position isn’t it? So 10thv17th...7 places in the league ....the difference between is £14m... could mean the difference between buying a £10m player in the summer, or a £24m player.
You know those little differences are so important to Bielsa.

if we can get 4pts from those 4 games i will be very happy

I think Bielsa looks to how well he and his players do, don't think the money bothers him to much!..

You can see that when he always say's he's happy with what he has, even though he knows deep down he could do better!..

i never really looked behind us this year because i thought we'd be safe after the liverpool game.
but if we keep winning the games against the bottom half and beat man utd. or at least get a point i'll rate this season as an a+.

Problem with the whole "letting your foot off the gas" now we are safe situation is that it dosent quite work out like that.

A place in the table here or there can be worth several million pound, so for a club like us, who don't have a massive budget a couple of places in tbe league could be the difference between our signings for next season

Not sure we would be letting our foot off the gas - more take off any shackles we might have had whilst trying to secure our PL status for next season.

Love this from Tim Sherwood:

Tim Sherwood on Leeds' win over Fulham:

"I thought they were supposed to be running out of gas at this point in the season - they look like they're getting stronger. Fantastic performance, love Bielsa, love Leeds United."

We are in such a great position right now. No pressure, we can blood new players, give our veterans a run out in the Premier League, scalp a couple of the top teams, and lay down a marker for next season.
I can't remember enjoying a season as much as this one. Our displays have lit up what is generally a pretty conservative league, with most teams battling to keep their place.
Not Bielsa, not Leeds. We have rightly earned plaudits for our brand of free-flowing, entertaining football. From the opening day goal-feast at Anfield, to our skillful dismantling of Fulham last week, there has seldom been a game where the football wasn't delightful and fascinating. Week by week, we are reminding people what the game is about. It really is 'jumpers for goalposts' and 'next goal wins' mentality. Who could have imagined we would come this far in three years?
There are big plans ahead, with serious investment in the pipeline. The future is bright, the future is white, MOT!

Tim Sherwood was a big pusher of the Bielsa Burnout theory earlier in the season. After the first West Ham game, if memory serves. They way he says this makes it sound like it was other people saying it, not himself.
