Agreed. Very difficult for some a limited side without the home fans. Still though we should be beating Luxembourg. Probably only 2 or 3 players in the Irish squad that are near good enough to play for a team that can qualify for a major finals.

Fair point. Easy to say now but I wish someone had the foresight to cap Grealish and Rice competitively when they were teens.

Tbf Rice was a turncoat, happy to play for you when he thought it was good for his career, but jumped ship as soon as he had a better offer.

Those would have been good players for ROI.

That is good news on Bruno yeah. I didn’t mind how much he was playing tbh but rest that doesn’t affect United is all good with me. We’re too reliant on him to rest him imo. We don’t have a team like City do or like we used to.

If we want to right at the top we have to look to the top and if we’re honest, not many of our first XI are league topping level.

I’d say Shaw, Pogba (ish), Bruno, Rashford and maybe Henderson but too soon.

If we compare that with United teams of old or City’s team we are still way off. Until then, we have little choice but to play Bruno as much as possible

Not the worst either. He’s having a nightmare season.

I really don’t know what’s up with him in general. The talent is there, he’s played under 3 different managers in that time and a plethora of different midfielders and strike partners.

As a team we’ve hardly been amazing nor consistent either but you’d expect to see more consistency than he’s showing and general progress. Personally I hope he goes on a good run of form to get a good selling price and move him on. He’s not winning us a league.

He’s similar to Pogba in that way, so inconsistent. Moody French sulking?
