Wouldn’t mind a punt on him if he’d switch alliances, Cavani is leaving and we won’t be buying a Haaland type player this summer.

He served the Club well, but City have decided to move on without him. Obviously Pep does not see him as part of the club's future, and he is the manager!

Truly great player and saddening that I will probably never get to watch him play for us again. We will give him a send off when we can, and what a day that will be.

I'm getting more feckin' teary as the days go by. It's the fact that he has given magic moments to fathers and mothers for their sons and daughters at those matches we all remember - Swansea, impossible angle Reina, 3 goal Bayern, through 11 goalline men Norwich, etc. I'm gonna really miss his thighs.

I secretly hope that we've yet to see his most momentous goal for City.

His goals to minutes ratio is insane. Real strikers instinct. Rooney was a great player but I wouldn't have called him an out and out striker. Better all round play but Aguero was easily a better goalscorer I think. Difficult to compare as different roles and natural tendancies

Rooney is still United's all time top scorer though! Aguero really could have bumped Shearers record with more time in the league!
