Manchester United’s Senior Boys XI quest for CL qualification resumes on Sunday with the long awaited and tough trip to Old Trafford to take on Graham Potter’s swashbuckling and free scoring, Brighton and Hove Albion outfit.
Potter and Brighton are flying high and comfortable in a nose bleeding, 16th place in the Premier League, after Potter’s free flowing attacking philosophy has yielded a staggering 32 goals already this season for the Deck Chairs; a feat that hasn’t gone unnoticed by a number of members of the #Ole Out, Diddums Gang, many who regard Albion under Potter as ‘clearly better than Man United under Mr Solskjaer ’.
However, in stark contrast, United themselves have struggled to establish 2nd place position in recent weeks and since their free fall to an alarming 1st place in January, have since been embroiled in a run of poor form, unbeaten now in their last 5 league games. Mr Solksjaer’s Senior Boys XI have struggled to score a mere 56 goals during this entire term so far and almost certainly 'can't wait for this season to end'.
A Diddums Group spokesman was quoted on Ja606 that Head Sports teacher Mr Solskjaer should be suspended and excluded from conducting all PE lessons for the senior boys with immediate effect and replaced by Albion’s Potter no less, whose CV as a tried and tested trophy winning football coach and manager apparently puts Mr Solskjaer’s to shame.
So Brighton start the game on Sunday as clear favourites, in what is on paper at least, a miss-match of coaching ability between the two managers. United will probably do well to stem the tide of attacking flair of Potter’s rampaging Albion.
Thankfully the International break is over so… so let the normal hostilities recommence.
