scratching my head at some of the players we have out on loan when they could be doing a job for us right now. I have seen a few of Saliba’s games for nice recently and no one can tell me that Rob Holding is the better option right now. The same with Ceballos who has been a bag of nerves since the benfica game, his legs were literally wobbling last night every time he received the ball, he just looked so uncomfortable. Could guendouzi have done any worse?, even Amn who is consistently starting for wba.
Arteta thinks we have the luxury of a squad that can accommodate the loss of talented players doing a good job for other clubs right now. Saliba should be in this team, I’ve had enough of Holding now. Twice in the last two games he’s started he’s been beaten in the air by a player half his size!. He can’t play out from the back, he can’t lead!. He just must be one of those players that look gd in training and show a gd attitude but when it gets to game time he let’s the team down.

Pressured environment? Well at this level it’s all about whether you can handle it. Their is no guarantee that next season things will improve for us form wise, so your point doesn’t even make sense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Saliba is 19, and is still relatively inexperienced.
How many CBs with that profile are currently playing for clubs of the size of Arsenal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well Fofana at Leicester for a start who is now their best cb and the same age as Saliba , are Leicester regretting putting him in the side?.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think Leicester are a similar scale club as Arsenal?
Interesting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s a young player coming into the premier league and bossing a defence that are 2nd in the table in 15 pts clear of us. You asked me the question of who has the same profile as Saliba at the same age. That was your question.

Obviously arsenal a far bigger club. I don’t think their is as much added pressure for Saliba than what Fofana is achieving with Leicester at the mo. I disagree , I feel he’s ready and better than our current options. That’s my opinon, if you disagree then fair enough.

I hope you’re right, and he shows it for us next season. Would much rather we had a player ready to step in at CB, than had to go into the transfer market again for one next summer.

You’re missing my point and it’s not a knee jerk reaction because Holding has been poor for a while now and it doesn’t matter if he does make a defensive saving header it’s his general play and clumsy ness that is costing us. It’s not about whether he doesn’t get a call, if he’s got that general awareness that a good cb has he shouldn’t be relying on another player to give him a shout. He should be leading that defence, he’s played more games than Gabriel , my point is that we are not in a position to have Saliba on loan and he’s Better than holding imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet in this fixture last season when we beat Liverpool at home Holding was the MOTM. Imnot missing your point, Im saying that when used in the right way Holding can be a good player. there are reasons Saliba went on loan and the greater physical demands of the PL was I believe a key consideration as he wasnt seen as being ready. He may look good in the French league, but can you be sure he wouldnt get bullied here? Arteta seemed to think he wasnt up to it yet.

You can pick one game out from every player where they have been outstanding. This is his 3rd manager he’s played under and he’s found himself out of the side what does that tell you?. He was only brought in last night cause Luiz was out. How do we know that Saliba wouldn’t come in and be a revelation? Fofana player in the French league and is now one of the premier leagues best defenders.

There's no doubt that Arteta's stuffed up with the squad players this season. I don't know what's gotten into some on here but they seem to be under the impression that the calls he made, have turned out well for Arsenal FC. Anyone would think they team had gone great guns off the back of all these decisions the way some are talking about them.
Too many players whom shouldn't have seen so much 1st 11 gametime, too many players who've not seen enough and too many players who should be playing in our shirts still, currently for other teams. The results of these idiot decisions are there for all to see in the teams results this season and speak for themselves.
A bunch of bad decisions weakend the squad and we had a poor season as a result. Not exactly hard to follow is it

Interview from Hertha Berlin sporting director Arne Friedrich:
"Matteo Guendouzi had problems at Arsenal, how is it going for him at Hertha? When you talk about Guendouzi and see his skills, you realise that he is a great player. I’ve also read that he had problems at Arsenal but here he behaves very well. He puts all of himself on the field. He is a great professional. Guendouzi’s situation confirms that we must always understand how to help the players, with a talent like him it is worth it."

Guendo unpopularity at Hertha is only in coming from AFC fans. By the sound of him, they don't seem to have such an issue with him.
