Some people suggested how Potter plays a better brand of football.
They were ridiculed by Olephiles. I think the first half is proof that the original hypothesis is true.

Thick as pig chit
..........
Thick would be thinking second is closer to tenth than first. What a dummy.

He obviously meant closer on points not position. You need to try to understand what people say.

Position is what gets recorded in the history books. Not how much closer to tenth you were by points.

Indeed. But we're not dealing with history here but progress. Usually progress can be more accurately measured in points.

You should be as no one will care at the end of the season if you are closer to tent than first. If we finish closer to first than we did last year that is an improvement on league position.
Obviously that doesn’t fit you losers agenda but that will be how it is.

It's an improvement in league position, but not necessarily an improvement in the team. Depends on the strength of the league that season.
A lot of the talk from fans before this season (maybe even you) was about cutting the points deficit to the top of the league.

That would make Ole a genius if the team hasn’t improved.
It has though.

If you go through the United team, there are plenty of players that you could swap for mid-table team players or lower.
Yet we are 2nd in the league. Something doesn't quite add up. Loads of really sh*t under-performing managers?

Name these mid table clubs who have better squads to choose from than united?

Well the OP would come out with something like that.
I don't know why he doesn't stay o'n his own teams board
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn't often translate into success at a bigger club. Some managers just have their level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And Ole is waaaaay above his.
Luckiest man in football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's second in arguably the best league in the world. The job might ultimately be too big for him, but it's clearly not way to big for him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Second when you're closer to 10th than 1st, is nothing to brag about
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can't even count you plank.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When I made that comment, united were on 57 points, city 74... so 17 points behind.
Arsenal were sat on 42 points in 10th place.
Thick as pig chit

We're gonna need a bigger boat.
