With a free week now for Spurs

no real excuse for not turning up at home to Man United next weekend, and completing the double over them for the season. United have a trip to Spain on Thursday in the Europa, so Spurs should have a distinct advantage. Need to be winning all the home games now, five to play, as opposed to just three away games. One game a week now, other than the Southampton midweek game. But who organised that midweek game, in the midweek before the League Cup Final, surely it could have been fitted in at another date. Did Spurs have any say in the matter?

Anyway no real excuses now, one game a week now, so no excuses from the players about being tired.

as if spurs will be taking advantage of anything whatsoever. we will make life as hard for ourselves as possible, as we always do, through stupid tactics coupled with poor individual performances, and defensive errors at crucial times.

we may limp to a draw but even that seems unlikely.

dreading the cup final.

I'm delighted for you chaps that you have a free week to plan for the next disaster
----------------------------------------------------------------------

LOL Chelsea just got smashed 5-2 at home by WBA. Conceded eight goals against WBA this season, a third of all their goals scored.

Yeah ..I know I know...predictable comments already mentioned, but one needs to be sensitive to senility...
Yeah that was an embarrassing debacle.. no doubt about it....But a 10 game no loss run ain't half bad is it laddie!
Maybe one day especially with lots of rest you can achieve that.

10 game loss, with less wins than Spurs over the past 10 games. I fully expect Spurs to finish in front of Chelsea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You fully expected to be 6 points clear come January too. What you expect and reality are usually a very long way apart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

And you fully expected Liverpool to be winning the title, so what you expect to happen is also a very long way apart from reality.

I am pretty positive about winning that final. Whenever a team gets completely written off, they usually do the opposite and go and win.

Did I? Because I can find some examples for you that says that I had City as favourites this year,,, if you can find otherwise, then please let me know.

Sorry fella don`t trawl back through posts. Not my scene. Pretty childish. I will take your word for it.

I'll stick my hand up and admit I expected Liverpool to romp to the title again.

I thought their dip at the back end of last season was just because they were cruising by that point, and that the defeat to Atlético just one of those cases of an inferior team riding their luck.

I never thought City would make up the gap, and even thought early on in the season that Pep's time for them was coming to an end.

Pretty amazing when you think that even if Liverpool won every remaining game (worth 24 points), they'd still finish 26 points off last season's total.

More realistically, we're looking at a drop of somewhere between 30 and 40 points. I don't think anyone in their right mind could've expected that, it's pretty astonishing.
