Sometimes one needs a period to reflect to get things in perspective - but if anything I feel worse about that performance now.
In the unlikely event that ESR, Saka, Martinelli & Xhaka are fit then I would dump Pepe, Ceballos, Aubameyang & Lacazette (in that order of priority for dropping) to the bench.
I didn’t see Odegaard or Partey as a problem, I thought that they were really trying without support - but the other four appeared to be just not up for it.
One of the most embarrassing performances I can remember...
I’m sorry to say I agree with Gary Neville

He has been stat padding at Arsenal while the team has regressed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly and it worked like a charm to inflate his warped reputation as this so called world class striker because silly people like to draw conclusions based on stats alone..'he scores 20 a season.. must be world class'... even if its literally just tap ins or routine chances any striker should be scoring lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that's just BS, he's scored 30 a season and been one of the most clinical strikers in the league when we've been in the bottom half of the PL for chances created.

Just watched it and from what he says Id say Arteta has lost the team. That was the reason given for Emery being sacked and now I think Arteta's defensive ball retaining backpass based game has peessed the forwards off

It's like you just decided to go ahead and prove my point about stats . Almost any above average striker starting every game, taking penalties etc, could score 20+ a season at a club like Arsenal, even Adebayor did that. If that makes Auba world class to you then stay drinking that cool aid I guess lol.

Club like Arsenal... this isn't the Arsenal of 5 years ago let alone 10+ years ago when Ade scored 30 and we were the most creative team in the league. Winning the golden boot in a team that doesn't create many chances is an impressive achievement. Auba's been crap this season but using that to make out he's some sh!t striker who's done nothing for Arsenal just makes you look like a mug.

Where did I say he's done nothing for Arsenal? Cry me a river .
Arsenal are still a very creative team especially against lower opposition, where ironically most of Auba's goals have come, that plus starting every game and taking penalties (not to mention the many chances he misses), and you struggle to work out how easy it was for him to score 20+ previously? . At the moment he's on 14 goals having a dog sh!t season, doesn't that show you how easy it is to score 20+ being decent and the main goal threat for a team like us?
I stand by my point any half decent striker could score 20+ at Arsenal. If Ade wasn't world class, neither is your beloved Aubameyang. If you still believe he's world class after this season then its clear who's making themselves look a mug...

Arsenal aren't a very creative team, basically the opposite for the last couple of seasons. So how many strikers are there with better goal records than Auba at Arsenal or even for his whole career, you make it sound easy so there must be a lot.

What is it with your obsession about records and stats? I'm assuming you actually watch games, so how do you not realise that even a limited player with the right setup can score 20+ goals in a season? Even Darren Bent did that lol. Drogba only scored more than 20 goals in a season once, Anelka never done it, are you saying Auba is even close to level Drogba, or Anelka were as strikers? If that doesn't show you how weak stats based arguments are then I don't know what will lol.
You say Arsenal haven't been creative, then how is it Auba was able to score 20+ goals past two seasons even missing many sitters along the way? Are you trying to say Auba creates his own chances out of nothing like actual world class strikers do? because that would be laughable.

So name all these average strikers who have a goal record that Auba does? And we're not talking 20 goals when he's scored around 30+ for the last 5 or 6 seasons. I've never said he's not limited, or that he's world class. Just responding to the disrespect that a lot of fans show him now and you did in your posts before when he's been quality for us until this season.

Well if you agree he's limited and that he's not world class then we share the same opinion. I've never said he didn't score goals for us, my stance has always been that he's very limited that is just a plain and simple fact, why do you see the truth as disrespect? lol
The same stats based logic you are applying is exactly what fooled people into thinking he ws world class, he never was. He's just a very good player in front of goal with not much else to his game, his link up play is non existent, can't beat defenders with skill, can't create opportunities for himself, has to be set up by team mates, most of his goals are simply him putting the final touch onto the ball to score. Which means for him to be good it relies on everything else under the sun but himself.
This season his limitations have caught up with him, because teams have worked out how to lock him down, and this where not having much to his game is causing him to fail this season. We already have a striker who has more to the bring to the game than him, his name is Martinelli.

Lazybayor had one short purple patch in the 2007-2008 season - but other than that he was a bang average (mainly due to attitude and his inability to stay onside) spearhead of the team creating the most chances in the league. 😐
